FEATHER SOUND, Fla. – Tampa’s Karol Hotel, under management of Mainsail Lodging & Development, reopened on Veteran’s Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020.
Centrally located in Feather Sound between Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Tampa, the hotel has welcomed guests back after a temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. High atop the 12-story hotel, the signature Vantage Rooftop Bar is once again serving cocktails, local craft beers, tapas, and views from its unique, climate-controlled setting, with other onsite dining venues returning to operation as soon as possible.
“Our team has been working tirelessly to put new health measures in place, and we’re thrilled for guests to come and safely experience this magnificent new hotel,” said general manager Adam Duffey. “We’re including the food and beverage credit to help celebrate our return and welcome everyone back.”
As of Nov. 11, hours of operation will be Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday from 4 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Karol Hotel is named for and inspired by Karol Kelly Bullard, “Miss Karol K,” wife of Fred Bullard, CEO of The Bullard Group, developer and owner of the property. The boutique hotel features 123 guestrooms and suites; a combined 7,340 square feet of event space, including a ballroom and executive conference rooms; and an outside pool and fitness center.
The Karol Hotel team has taken additional steps to ensure the continued safety of guests and staff, including handwashing hygiene, cleaning product specifications, electrostatic spraying in all public areas, guestroom and common area cleaning procedures, daily temperature checks for all staff, and more. To promote the health and safety of guests, face coverings are required in all indoor public areas. Social distancing guidelines and protocols from Marriott International are also strictly followed.
