SAN ANTONIO—Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa marked the official opening of its newest event venue, The Calera, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month. Resort leadership, Hilton executives, and local community figures attended the ribbon-cutting event, held October 3.
The Caleria is a 5,100-square-foot space designed for weddings, galas, corporate functions, and other upscale events. “The Calera is an event space that was built to be shared with our community,” says Ben Turner, general manager of Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa. “Today is an opportunity for us to celebrate this amazing space, the vision for how the indoors and outdoors can be utilized, and the advanced technology the venue offers to our guests for corporate events, galas, and weddings.”
Inspired by the historic Calera Camp House at Texas’ King Ranch Estate, the venue blends modern design with Spanish-Texan architectural influences. Nestled in the Texas Hill Country, The Calera offers panoramic views and a tranquil setting, ideal for both private and professional events.
The Calera complements the resort’s existing 20 flexible floor plans, expanding its ability to host a wide range of gatherings and enhancing its position as a premier meetings and events destination in the region.
Notable attendees at the ribbon-cutting ceremony included Gerald Barrack, vice president of hotel openings for Hilton Americas; Camila Dickerson, principal of asset management for Ohana Real Estate Investors; and Mario J. Bass, president and CEO of Visit San Antonio.
