Home to Baylor University, Waco offers excellent amenities along the Brazos River and Interstate 35, according to Kaitlyn Skinner, destination marketing and tourism specialist for Destination Waco. “With downtown hotels just minutes from local shops and restaurants, Waco is a welcoming city and easy for visitors and attendees to navigate and explore,” Skinner says. “Pair that with our authentic Texas hospitality and a dynamic culinary scene, and you have a recipe for a truly successful event.”
Waco Convention Center features more than 114,000 square feet of event space; its largest space—a 33,000-square-foot exhibit hall—can accommodate up to 2,600 people. Extraco Events Center includes a coliseum for up to 6,000 spectators, or 9,000 when the arena floor is used for seating, and a new BASE (Business, Arts, Sports and Entertainment) facility with a capacity of 3,000+ guests. Baylor University’s McLane Stadium can accommodate up to 500 guests throughout its private suites.
Hotels with meeting space include AC Hotel Waco Downtown, offering 21,533 square feet of event space; Cambria Hotel Waco University Riverfront, featuring five spacious meeting rooms with a banquet capacity of 350 guests; Hilton Waco, with 8,000 square feet of event space for 300 people; and Hilton Garden Inn Waco, with 3,600 square feet for up to 368 people. In addition, the ballroom at Hotel Herringbone can accommodate more than 200 people, while Hotel 1928 has meeting and event space for up to 400 people. New hotels include Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waco Downtown, Everhome Suites Waco, and WoodSpring Suites Waco.

Pepper Museum.
