MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—Waymo, the autonomous vehicle subsidiary of the Alphabet company, recently launched “Waymo for Business,” a new program that allows companies to set up corporate accounts for employees to use its robotaxi service in five U.S. cities.

In the South, this service is now available in Atlanta and Austin, Texas, targeting recurring business travel. The program gives employers tools to manage when, where, and how employees use driverless rides, including an admin portal to track ride activity, set budgets, and create promo codes.

According to the company, Waymo completes more than 1 million rides each month, with nearly one in six local riders in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix using the service to commute.

The company also noted the corporate platform is in early development and will be expanded with features to support companies of all sizes.

To attract frequent business travelers, Waymo has focused on airport access—the company recently received approval to serve San José Mineta International Airport (SJC).
