NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Iberville Tower at New Orleans’ Hotel Monteleone is set to reopen after a two-year, multimillion-dollar redesign.
As reported by Biz New Orleans, the renovation has resulted in 160 completely renovated rooms plus 48 new luxury suites and an upgraded ballroom.
According to the article, the Iberville Tower holds approximately half of the hotel’s total rooms.
The hotel originally opened in 1886 and is one of the last family-owned hotels in New Orleans. The article states the hotel’s fifth-generation owners are trying to establish it as a competitor to luxury brands.
“For 137 years, guests have created memories with their families and friends at Hotel Monteleone, making celebrations and commemorating milestones in our historic hotel,” Stephen Caputo, hotel general manager, said in a press release.
Caputo also highlighted the hotel’s Criollo restaurant and the Carousel Bar, Spa Aria, and its famed rooftop pool and bar. Hotel Monteleone also features 26,000 square feet of event space.
