BAL HARBOUR, Fla.—The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour, Miami has appointed Fabien Gnemmi as general manager ahead of the oceanfront resort’s planned Feb. 1, 2027, reopening following its most significant transformation since joining The Ritz-Carlton brand in 2014.
Gnemmi has more than 25 years of hospitality experience, with a background in culinary operations, F&B programming, and luxury hotel leadership. He is a Maître Cuisinier de France, a distinction recognizing culinary expertise.
Most recently, Gnemmi served as hotel manager and acting general manager of The St. Regis Bal Harbour, where he led resort operations and helped achieve the most improved guest satisfaction scores in the U.S. Eastern region in 2024 and 2025. Improvements included culinary quality, bar programming, banquet execution, and the overall dining experience.
Before joining St. Regis, Gnemmi spent two decades with The Ritz-Carlton, overseeing F&B operations valued at up to $51 million, launching restaurant concepts, and developing culinary festivals. His teams also earned recognition from Forbes, AAA, and Marriott.
Gnemmi will oversee the 113-room property as it prepares to introduce redesigned guest rooms and suites, refreshed public spaces and poolside experiences, and new dining venues. The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour, Miami’s reopening will also mark the debut of The Ritz-Carlton Spa and Elyris, an exclusive private membership.
“It is a privilege to return to The Ritz-Carlton brand and help shape such a defining new chapter for this extraordinary resort,” Gnemmi says. “Our vision is to create an experience that feels distinctly Bal Harbour, where the intimacy of our waterfront setting meets exceptional dining, restorative wellness, and the personalized service for which The Ritz-Carlton is known. I’m looking forward to building an exceptional team and bringing this vision to life as we prepare to welcome guests back in February.”
Located at the northern tip of Miami Beach, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Intracoastal Waterway, the resort features waterfront accommodations with panoramic views and in-suite kitchens. The planned enhancements will expand its culinary offerings with a chef-led signature restaurant, a lobby bar, and casual waterfront dining. The property will also continue to offer beach access, a seaside pool, and indoor and outdoor event venues for weddings and gatherings.
Reservations are available for stays beginning Feb. 1, 2027.
