“The Mountain Side of Maryland,” Allegany County offers groups stunning scenery, historic landmarks, and diverse amenities, easily accessible via Interstate 68. Key venues include Rocky Gap Casino Resort & Golf in Flintstone, 10 minutes from the county seat, Cumberland. The resort features a 5,000-square-foot event center accommodating up to 400 people, multiple dining options, a Jack Nicklaus golf course, and other amenities. In Frostburg, Lane University Center at Frostburg State University seats 700 theater style. Ramada by Wyndham Cumberland Downtown offers 4,100 square feet of space and can host a capacity of 400 for conferences and 350 for banquets. For smaller events, Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Cumberland and Comfort Inn & Suites LaVale – Cumberland both have space. The Wills Hotel, a new 20-room boutique property in downtown Cumberland, features an all-purpose space for small corporate meetings and private events.
