ISLAMORADA, Fla. – The Islamorada Resort Collection, a group of boutique resorts in the Florida Keys, has announced an expanded leadership team with the appointment of three new executives: Sean Leister, resort manager at La Siesta Resort & Villas; Charles Trexel, complex executive chef at Islamorada Resort Collection; and Stacey Peringer, complex director of guest experiences at Islamorada Resort Collection.
Collectively, they will manage operations at each of the properties, including Amara Cay Resort, La Siesta Resort & Villas, and a new resort destination that will open its doors later this year.
Leister has held multiple managerial roles across Hawks Cay Resort and Cheeca Lodge & Spa, where he led the event and guest experience teams. His knowledge of the Florida Keys market will be valuable to operations at La Siesta Resort & Villas, a news release states.
Passionate about flavor nuances of Mediterranean, Coastal, and Latin American cuisines, and proficient in many techniques, Trexel is an experienced chef, who is well versed in serving resorts with upwards of 600 rooms. With more than 18 years of experience, he has held executive chef positions at various Florida Keys properties, including Bakers Cay Resort, Playa Largo Resort, and Cheeca Lodge & Spa.
A seasoned hospitality leader, Peringer most recently served as service manager at Riva Motorsports and Marine of the Keys where she directed daily operations and employees. Before that role, she was the general manager at Islamarina and operations director at Drift Surf Resort in Puerto Rico. In a news release, resort officials say her hands-on experience in team management, operations strategy, and sales management is highly valued as she enters this role.
