Vicksburg is benefiting from a historic $47 million state tourism and infrastructure package. Downtown’s Vicksburg Convention Center offers 15,000 square feet of column-free exhibit space, accommodating more than 2,200 for theater-style seating and more than 100 exhibit booths. The venue also has 8,000 square feet of meeting space across seven rooms; its largest space accommodates up to 800 people. Vicksburg City Auditorium has 35,520 square feet of meeting space across five rooms, accommodating up to 1,350 theater style events or 300 banquet style in its largest room.
In addition to 149 recently renovated guest rooms, Ameristar Casino Hotel Vicksburg offers onsite catering and six event spaces, the largest of which accommodates up to 200 people. The 111-room Courtyard by Marriott Vicksburg accommodates up to 55 people theater style in its largest space, while the 123-room Hampton Inn & Suites Vicksburg has three small meeting rooms totaling 1,750 square feet, with a capacity of 70 people in its largest space.
For offsite experiences, the newly refreshed historic Inn at Cedar Grove Mansion offers elegantly decorated meeting spaces and five acres of gardens. The Roof at 1311, located above Key City Brewery & Eatery, provides a modern rooftop venue with panoramic river views for groups of 175. Anchuca Historic Mansion features an award-winning restaurant and Mississippi’s only advanced-level sommelier.
Approximately $40 million of the state funding has been dedicated to the Vicksburg Civil War Visitor Center. Currently under development adjacent to the National Military Park, this state-of-the-art interpretive museum will serve as a new entry threshold to the park, oriented toward groups and students.
