KEY BISCAYNE, Fla.—The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami has officially reopened following a $100 million renovation, redefining the oceanfront resort with contemporary architecture, expanded dining options, and the debut of its new Ritz-Carlton Spa, Key Biscayne.

Located minutes from downtown Miami, the 17-acre beachfront property marks its first comprehensive renewal in nearly 25 years. Led by luxury developer Gencom and design firms Hart Howerton, DesignAgency, and Chapi Chapo Design, the overhaul touches every aspect of the resort, from its open-air architecture to guest rooms, restaurants, and wellness facilities.

“As we reopen our doors, we are honored to welcome guests back to our iconic beachfront enclave that has been an integral part of Miami’s glamorous legacy for decades,” says Derek Flint, market general manager. “This next chapter of The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami celebrates our expansive landscape, luxury oceanfront accommodations, and vibrant setting designed for global travelers and locals alike. We’ve created a resort intended to transport our guests and inspire celebration, reconnection, and rejuvenation.”

The redesigned resort emphasizes indoor-outdoor living, with sweeping glass façades, ocean views, and tropical gardens woven throughout the property. Guest rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, private terraces, and interiors inspired by sea and sand. The Presidential Suite, the resort’s largest accommodation, spans 2,620 square feet and includes two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, and features panoramic ocean views.

The reopening also introduces an expanded culinary program featuring six dining and cocktail venues. Luma offers Mediterranean-inspired Italian cuisine with an Atlantic view, while Paralía showcases Greek and Turkish flavors, featuring locally sourced seafood, in an open-air, beachfront setting. Additional venues include the Rum Bar lobby lounge, Dune Beach Bar, Stefano’s poolside pizzeria, and Scoop, a gelato concept.

Wellness is a central focus of the renovation with the launch of The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Key Biscayne. The 30,000-square-foot facility includes 16 treatment rooms, couples’ suites, a full-service salon, and a sensory spa garden. Guests can participate in daily complimentary meditation rituals, sound therapy experiences, and fitness programming, including classes from Miami-based boutique fitness brand Tremble.

Leisure offerings across the resort have also been expanded, with refreshed pools, new cabanas, and water sports. The updated Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center now features tennis, pickleball, and padel courts. Retail boutiques, an enhanced Ritz Kids Club, and additional family programming round out the resort’s amenities.

The luxury oceanfront resort offers extensive meeting and event facilities designed for conferences, trade shows, executive retreats, and incentive programs. The property features 26 event rooms and a total of approximately 37,039 square feet, including a large ballroom, an oceanfront lounge and multiple smaller salons, with both indoor and outdoor options. Attendees also have access to recreational amenities such as golf, tennis, swimming and a full-service spa.
