MIAMI—Miami International Airport (MIA) recently celebrated the opening of the first Wait n’ Rest sleep rooms in North America, marking the company’s second location worldwide.
The facility, located in Concourse D, features 15 luxury sleep rooms designed to accommodate up to four guests. Each room includes hotel-style bedding, touch-screen entertainment and information systems, and access to private showers, bathrooms, fresh towels, and snacks and beverages. Guests can book rooms by the hour, for up to eight hours. A second location in the airport’s Concourse H is expected to open this summer.
“Thanks to Wait n’ Rest, finding a comfortable, convenient place to get refreshed, recharged, and rejuvenated while traveling through MIA just got much easier, says Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “I am proud to welcome the first Wait n’ Rest location in North America to Miami-Dade County, and I look forward to seeing their high-demand service provide rest and relaxation to our visitors from around the world.”
The Wait n’ Rest concept offers travelers a private space to rest, work, or recharge away from busy terminals. Each suite is designed with quiet interiors, modern amenities, and integrated technology that allows guests to control their environment and order food and beverages directly from in-room touchscreens.
“Airports are evolving from transit spaces into lifestyle environments,” says Duilio Sanguineti, founder and CEO of Wait n’ Rest. “Travelers today want more than efficiency. They want comfort, privacy, and experiences that feel intentional. Miami-Dade County is leading this new era, and we are proud to be part of that transformation.”
Short stays start at $40 per hour for one guest, with rates increasing based on occupancy. Overnight packages of up to eight hours begin at $200 for one guest, with additional charges for extra occupants.
The opening is part of a broader push to enhance the passenger experience at MIA. In 2025, Booking.com ranked the airport among the top U.S. hubs for business travelers, while J.D. Power named it the most improved mega airport in North America for customer satisfaction.
