
ATLANTA—The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta has appointed hospitality veteran Kurt Schwan as its director of sales & marketing, marking his return to the luxury hotel.
Schwan most recently served as director of sales and marketing at InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta, where he led sales, catering, and conference services as a member of the executive committee and oversaw the commercial strategy for one of IHG’s flagship U.S. luxury properties.
Schwan began his hospitality career in Atlanta in 2000 at Hilton Atlanta, before moving on to leadership positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts at The Westin Buckhead, The Westin Peachtree Plaza, and W Atlanta Midtown. He joined The Ritz-Carlton brand in 2008, supporting both The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead and The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta. From 2017 to 2024, he served as director of sales for The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta, overseeing the group’s catering and transient business segments.
