LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.—The Lawrence Hotel Lawrenceville, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, located at 120 E. Crogan St. in downtown Lawrenceville, has opened as Gwinnett County’s first upscale, full-service boutique hotel.

Developed and managed by NorthPointe Hospitality Management & Development, the 120-room, four-story hotel includes two dining concepts, a fitness center, a courtyard, and more than 6,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.

“The opening of The Lawrence marks the realization of a vision nearly eight years in the making and an extraordinary community effort,” says Greg Winey, president and principal of NorthPointe Hospitality Management & Development. “We set out to create a hotel that feels distinctly connected to Lawrenceville, one that welcomes travelers while giving residents a new place to dine, celebrate, and gather. To finally open our doors and welcome our first guests is an incredibly meaningful moment.”

The hotel is near Lawrenceville’s Historic Downtown Square and the Lawrenceville Arts Center, home to Aurora Theatre. Event spaces can accommodate up to 260 guests for meetings, weddings, celebrations, and other gatherings.

“The Lawrence Hotel is an exciting addition to downtown and a tremendous milestone for Lawrenceville,” says Lawrenceville Mayor David Still. “This project required creativity, persistence, and a remarkable partnership between the city, NorthPointe Hospitality, and the people who believed in what it could mean for our community. The Lawrence Hotel’s debut represents the energy and momentum we see throughout our downtown and an opportunity to welcome even more people to experience what makes Lawrenceville special.”

The property’s design references the site’s industrial history. The area was formerly home to the Lawrenceville cotton mill and later the Genesco shoe factory, which operated through the 1970s. The hotel features a brick exterior, wrought-iron details, large factory-style windows, brick arches, and interiors incorporating wood, stone, leather, and natural light.

The Lawrence also introduces Bellfire, a Southern and Mediterranean-inspired restaurant centered on wood-fired cooking, and Old Nick’s, an indoor-outdoor lounge offering cocktails, whiskey, wine, local beer, shareable plates, and zero-proof beverages.

Chef Dominic Simpson, an Atlanta native with more than 25 years of culinary experience, leads the hotel’s F&B program. Bellfire’s menu features Georgia-grown and regional ingredients from suppliers, including Ellijay Mushrooms, Plantation Quail, Comfort Farms, Joyce Farms, and Anson Mills. Menu items include stuffed Bramlett Farms trout with crawfish succotash and fire-grilled Châtel Farms prime ribeye.

The hotel’s meeting facilities offer customized menus, beverage service, and onsite event-planning support.
