ATLANTA—The ATL Airport District Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) celebrated a record $117 million+ in tourism revenue during its annual meeting with industry stakeholders, held August 7 at Georgia International Convention Center.

The event, themed “Press Start to Begin,” highlighted various ATL Airport District CVB milestones of the past year, including marketing efforts, key destination events, and more. Key points shared in the event included the ATL Airport District CVB’s sales team fulfilling more than 875 leads during the 2024-25 fiscal year, resulting in more than 113,600 secured room nights; a 15-percent increase in visitation to ATLDistrict.com and a 161.7-percent increase in the District’s social media following; and the CVB’s efforts producing a record-breaking annual economic impact estimated at $117,703,781.

“Since stepping into my role as president of the ATL Airport District CVB, I’ve spent a great deal of time listening to what matters most to our partners and community,” says Mercedes Miller. “This valuable input has guided our efforts and helped us achieve record-breaking economic impact through tourism. The increases we’ve seen in all areas reflect heightened awareness of the District as a destination and prove that our efforts are clearly inspiring leisure travelers, meeting planners, and groups to consider the District for their travel and events.”

Miller also discussed what initiatives the CVB will focus on in the coming year, highlighting the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup as a focal point and noting the District will serve as a welcome mat for visitors coming to Atlanta for the matches.

“The World Cup is an incredible opportunity for the District to showcase what we’re all about, and it is really just the beginning of what’s to come,” Miller says. “As we look to the future, we’re ready to ‘power up’ and continue building momentum together with our partners, ensuring another banner year ahead.”
