Big Cypress Lodge Expands Event Options

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Big Cypress Lodge recently added the 7000-sf Mississippi Terrace, an outdoor lodge and social gathering spot overlooking the Mississippi River.

Available for all types of private events, the new space features a copper-top destination bar and elegant gathering areas with oversized upholstered sofas and cozy fire pits. It also offers views of the Mighty Lights light-emitting diode (LED) light show that illuminates two nearby bridges each night. When combined with the indoor spaces, Ducks Unlimited Gallery and Waterfowl Gallery, the space can accommodate up to 800 guests.

Designed by Johnny Morris, the founder and CEO of Bass Pro Shops, Big Cypress Lodge is a rustic retreat inside a 535,000-sf pyramid. Along with 103 guest rooms, the venue features 100-ft tall trees, a swamp with live alligators and a variety of fish, the nation’s tallest freestanding elevator, numerous dining options, Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid, and many additional attractions.
