In mid April, Callaway Gardens acquired ownership of The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens and announced that the planning stages of a 10-month renovation of all guest rooms, meeting space, public areas and spa will begin immediately.
“This is a historic moment for Callaway Gardens,” said William “Bill” R. Doyle III, president and chief executive officer for Callaway Gardens. “The addition of The Lodge and Spa is a strategic move to further enhance the Gardens’ experience and solidify its future.”
The LEED-certified Lodge and Spa, which opened in November 2006, features 149 guest rooms and suites, outdoor fireplaces, a restaurant,pool and conference meeting space as well the 13,000- square-foot Spa Prunifolia.
Callaway Gardens, a resort set on thousands of acres in Pine Mountain, Ga., includes a butterfly conservatory, discovery center, chapel, inland beach, nature trails, nearly 80,000 square feet of meeting space, 807 guest rooms, restaurants, a spa, shops, golf, tennis, fishing and more.
