Indian River County, including Vero Beach, Fellsmere, and Sebastian, offers uncrowded beaches and a blend of charm and history, says Ben Earman, vice president of tourism and marketing for Visit Indian River County. “We pride ourselves on our culture and being a welcoming destination for all.”
Vero Beach is known for its pristine 22.4-mile-long coastline, free of high-rise properties. “The town blends posh hotels, swanky boutiques, local restaurants, and world-renowned galleries and theaters,” Earman says. “Fellsmere is a rural utopia, with undeveloped wildlands and thriving natural habitats, and Sebastian is a lively riverfront town with a range of attractions and activities.”
The county offers approximately 2,217 guest rooms. The 109-room Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa features more than 3,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. Costa d’Este Beach Resort & Spa in Vero Beach has 94 guest rooms, including a 1,000-square-foot penthouse suite, and 2,200 square feet of indoor meeting space to accommodate 100 guests. Vero Beach Inn & Suites has 114 recently updated guest rooms, a 40-person classroom, and a banquet hall seating 200. The 86-room Capt Hirams Resort in Sebastian has three conference rooms, a riverfront room seating 150 for dinners, and a beach venue for up to 100 guests.
