Lake City/Columbia County

Event planners looking to host their event amid a paradise of natural springs and forests should look no further than Lake City, also known as “Florida’s Springlands,” says Clint Pittman, interim director of Columbia County Tourism Development Council. “We offer a variety of beautiful, natural, and eclectic venues, and are at the junction of I-75 and I-10, making it a breeze to get here from any direction.”

The region has 300-plus natural springs with crystal-clear water that stays 72 degrees year-round. At Ichetucknee Springs, eight major springs come together to create a river popular for tubing and canoeing.

Event options include The Blanche, a historic venue with 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space to host 300 guests; a 6,700-square-foot event hall at the Florida Gateway Fairgrounds; and Elevation Farms, a 23-acre nature retreat.
