DALLAS, Tex. – Marriott’s new ‘modern brand’ hotel is in the final stages of construction in the heart of Dallas’ Uptown district.
Scheduled to open in late January 2021, Marriott Dallas Uptown captures the area’s burgeoning walkability with pedestrian walkways next to the elevated outdoor venues along the hotel’s perimeter. The design showcases the soft contemporary edge of the building’s stone and glass façade, tree-lined streetscape, subtle ornamentation, and lighting details. The hotel’s proximity to the heart of one of Dallas’ major neighborhoods appeals to hometown clientele in addition to both business and leisure travelers.
“Uptown Dallas is a vibrant neighborhood within the city and we are thrilled to join the scene,” said Robbie Tawil, general manager of Marriott Dallas Uptown. “Our hotel is ready to become a staple in the community, providing residents and travelers with a place to wine, dine, and relax.”
The 14-story, 255-guest room hotel includes 13,000 square feet of meeting space. A full service ground floor restaurant and a casual all-day café and lobby lounge, fitness center, and pool deck with panoramic views provide an environment for working, relaxing, and entertaining. The interior design concept showcases the local community and several natural landmarks. An art installation behind the reception desk features reclaimed wood as a backdrop to scenes of local landscapes, terrain, outdoor activities, and neighborhoods.
The hotel is within walking distance of multiple retail, office, entertainment and leisure hubs, but the property is also designed to be its own destination within the Uptown district.
