
ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. – The TradeWinds Island Resorts–the Island Grand Resort and RumFish Beach Resort–has announced Rob Ferguson as vice president of sales and marketing.
In this position, Ferguson will develop, drive, and lead new business opportunities for the beachfront landmark. He will also support prospective accounts and collaborate and mentor inside sales team members. Ferguson will serve as a member of the executive committee and maintain relationships with area visitor bureaus, travel agents, meeting planners, and other travel trade industry representatives.

A long-time industry veteran, Ferguson brings more than 23 years of experience in resort sales to his new position. Prior to joining TradeWinds, Ferguson was area director of sales and marketing for the Grand Hyatt Nashville and Nashville Yards, where he led the successful launch and opening of the Grand Hyatt Nashville, part of the 18-acre Nashville Yards’ $4.5 billion lifestyle, work, and entertainment district. He also worked as regional vice president, sales and marketing for Highgate Hotels, with a portfolio of 15 properties across California and Nevada. Ferguson also has extensive sales experience with Marriott Hotels, including the Westin Denver International Airport and the Marriott Harbor Beach in Florida, and HEI Hotels and Resorts, a third-party management group based in Connecticut.
