Universal Studios attractions aiming to reopen June 5

ORLANDO, Fla.  – Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay will welcome guests beginning June 5.

According to the Universal Studios website, the planned reopening comes with new stringent health, safety, and hygiene procedures in place.

These procedures include:

– Patrons are required to wear face masks or coverings;

– Temperature checks will be required upon arrival, with guests having a temperature of 100.4 F or higher not being admitted;

– Frequent hand washing and hand sanitizing is encouraged;

– Social distancing of at least 6 ft ;

– Floor markings have been installed to direct customers; and

– Patrons are encouraged to follow team members’ directions.

Other steps being taken by resort staff and leadership include:

– Limiting capacity and following social distancing guidelines at all attractions, restaurants, and shops throughout the destination;

– Increasing cleaning and disinfection procedures, and frequently cleaning all high-touch surfaces; and

– All team members will undergo temperature checks and wear face coverings, and will participate in extensive training on new procedures.
