WINTER GARDEN,  Fla. – The Alfond Inn at Rollins has officially opened The Spa, a new 13,500-square-foot wellness facility.

This Spa is a component of the expansion of the inn, which also includes a new fitness center, hydrotherapy amenities, and a second pool deck. The opening comes as the hotel celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

The design of The Spa includes seven treatment rooms and hydrotherapy amenities, including saunas, aromatherapy steam rooms, and experience showers. There is also a new fitness area and locker rooms. Three sanctuaries have been designed for pre- and post-treatment as well. It opens onto a new 6,000-square-foot amenity deck that features a second swimming pool for the hotel, private cabanas, a neo-classical fountain, and a shaded canopy that covers an extensive outside living room. The amenity deck will be available for private events and will have food and beverage options. According to a news release, The Spa will soon offer wellness activities, including yoga and meditation sessions.

The seven treatment rooms include one couples room, where various massages, body treatments, and facials are offered. Dayleann Vallejo, the director of The Spa, was previously at Nobu Miami Beach and The Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne and Coconut Grove.

The new wing of the inn has been designed in harmony with the original hotel structure. A seven-story atrium connects the two buildings, and the hotel has added 71 new guest rooms, increasing the property’s capacity to 183 rooms. Guest rooms in the original building have undergone complete upgrades with contemporary interiors. A new lobby café serves crepes, coffee, light bites, beer, and wine. The existing lobby, library, and bar have been renovated, and Hamilton’s Kitchen restaurant has been upgraded with a new private dining room. A new meeting room and boardroom have added 2,400 square feet to the existing 10,000 square feet of meeting space.

Owned by neighboring Rollins College, a liberal arts college, The Alfond Inn at Rollins directs all operating income to scholarships.
