South Walton is more than the beach, says Karen Morris, CMP, CDME, director of sales for Walton County Tourism. “We have 26 miles of sugar-white beaches, but we also boast four state parks, a 15,000-acre state forest, and 200 miles of hiking and biking trails. South Walton has the venues, attractions, and flexibility to welcome meetings of all sizes.”
The 590-room Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa has 40,700 square feet of function space, including the 800-person-capacity Emerald Ballroom. The 2,400-acre Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort has 1,000 lodging options across condominiums, villas, townhomes, and luxury rental properties, and offers 85,000 square feet of event space; the 250-room Hotel Effie, within Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, can accommodate up to 1,200 people for receptions. The Pearl, a 60-room luxury hotel in Rosemary Beach, has indoor and outdoor venues to accommodate 120 guests. Embassy Suites by Hilton Destin Miramar Beach has 6,000 square feet of meeting space, and WaterColor Inn has 5,500 square feet of event space. Camp Creek Inn opened in 2025 as a 75-room boutique hotel, offering indoor space for groups of 50 people and outdoor event space for up to 300 guests. Resort amenities include beach bonfires, pickleball, a wellness center, and golf.
