BATON ROUGE, La.—The Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel has reopened as Bally’s Baton Rouge Hotel, following the merger of Bally’s Corp. with Belle’s parent company, The Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc.
“Bally’s brand is respected worldwide, and it’s thrilling to have a name that’s synonymous with contemporary entertainment join the Baton Rouge community,” says Richard Cannon, general manager of the Belle of Baton Rouge.
The fully remodeled 10-story property includes 242 well-appointed rooms, luxurious suites, an ultra-modern fitness center, and a VIP lounge with panoramic views. The new “Bally’s” LED signage hangs on the exterior of the building.
“We can’t wait to welcome guests to the new Bally’s hotel. Every space has been reimagined to provide patrons with an elevated, luxury experience,” says hotel operations director Daniel Hutchinson. “With a variety of rooms to choose from and incredible views of the river, downtown and LSU, there’s truly something for everyone.”
This reopening is part of Belle’s plan to transform the area into a land-based gaming and entertainment complex. Plans include 25,000 square feet of Vegas-style gaming, a spacious sports lounge, an upscale cocktail lounge, and casual and fine dining restaurant concepts.
