Summersville Lake, West Virginia’s largest lake, offers dinner cruises, guided boat tours, and a plethora of water sports and activities. The region also has hiking and biking trails, a historic Civil War Battlefield park and museum, multiple golf courses, art galleries, and small-town shopping and dining.
Summersville Arena & Conference Center welcomes meeting groups of up to 400 guests with a 3,715-square-foot event space. According to SummersvilleArena.com, there are 500 guest rooms at six lodging options within two miles of the facility. Other hotels with event space include LaQuinta Inn & Suites Summersville/New River National Park, with a meeting room seating 45 guests, and Wilderness Lodge, a newly constructed, luxurious yet rustic retreat set on 700 acres, with sleeping quarters for 22 people, a 12-seat theater, and outdoor event space for up to 300 guests.
