A new casino hotel has opened at Lake Murray, just a few miles from downtown Ardmore. According to 500Nations.com, the Chickasaw Nation’s LakeCrest Casino and Hotel at Lake Murray features an 89-room hotel with conference rooms and a 70,000-square-foot casino complex. Also on the lake, Lake Murray State Park offers a new 32-room lodge and 56 cabins. According to TravelOK.com, the lodge has seven meeting areas, with a 4,168-square-foot ballroom and smaller meeting rooms. The park also features hiking trails, riding stables, a marina, and a golf course.
Ardmore Convention Center is the largest event space in the city, with 50,000 square feet of function space, including 13 meeting rooms and a 25,272-square-foot exhibit hall, which can accommodate 170 exhibitors or can seat 3,000 guests theater style or approximately 1,800 banquet style, according to the convention center’s website. The attached Holiday Inn Ardmore I-35 has 127 guest rooms and 1,500 square feet of event space.
South of Ardmore in Thackerville, the 1,500-room WinStar World Casino and Resort includes a 65,000-square-foot convention center with two ballrooms, three boardrooms, and other customizable event space. The resort has a 500,000-square-foot gaming floor, live entertainment, and two championship golf courses. East of Ardmore in Durant, the AAA Four Diamond Choctaw Casino & Resort has 1,700 guest rooms and more than 100,000 square feet of event space, with a 57,398-square-foot event center, a 3,000-seat theater, 16 meeting rooms, and a 14,000-square-foot ballroom. The resort includes 20 restaurants, six movie theaters, and live entertainment.
