ATLANTA—The ATL Airport District Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has launched a community-wide campaign to welcome visitors and support local businesses during the FIFA World Cup 2026™ tournament in Atlanta.
The initiative, called “Kick It in the District,” will feature watch parties, promotions, and a travel giveaway across the CVB’s five partner cities: College Park, Fairburn, Hapeville, South Fulton, and Union City.
The ATL Airport District, located near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, is positioning itself as a convenient home base for soccer fans attending matches and related events during the tournament.
“With the world’s eyes on Atlanta during FIFA World Cup 2026™, this is an incredible opportunity to showcase the energy, hospitality, and diversity that make the District so special,” says Mercedes Miller, president of the ATL Airport District CVB. “Our communities are ready to welcome fans from near and far with memorable experiences, exceptional accommodations, and easy access to all of the entertainment the tournament offers. We are proud to serve as a gateway to one of the biggest sporting events in the world while also creating meaningful impact for our local businesses and partners.”
The campaign includes community watch parties hosted at restaurants, bars, and hotels throughout the District. Participating venues include locations in each of the five cities, with organizers planning food and beverage specials, giveaways, and prizes during match broadcasts.
The CVB is also offering an enter-to-win giveaway featuring a two-night stay at the AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway, $250 in gift cards to participating watch-party venues, and a basket of campaign-branded merchandise. The prize package is valued at more than $500.
Officials said visitors staying in the District can take advantage of hotel discounts of up to 30% and use MARTA rail service to access downtown Atlanta and the FIFA Fan Festival at the Georgia World Congress Center.
