AHLA appoints Rosanna Maietta as president & CEO

WASHINGTON, D.C.—American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) has selected Rosanna Maietta to serve as the association’s next president and CEO, effective November 14. Maietta previously served as president and CEO of the AHLA Foundation and executive vice president of communications and public relations of AHLA.

Drury Hotels opens first property in Chattanooga, Tenn.

ST. LOUIS—Drury Hotels Co. LLC has opened Drury Plaza Hotel Chattanooga Hamilton Place. It is the first Drury Hotel in Chattanooga and the fifth Drury Hotel in Tennessee. Cassandra Osbourne is the hotel’s general manager.

The Singer Oceanfront Resort celebrates grand opening

SINGER ISLAND, Fla.—The Singer Oceanfront Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception on October 24. The event included members of Riviera Beach City Council, Chamber of Commerce, Discover the Palm Beaches, the hotel’s leadership teams, and local partners. It featured property tours, live music, a sand sculpture artist, and light bites and cocktails provided by signature restaurant Caretta Caretta.
