Neshoba County is home to Pearl River Resort, which comprises three properties offering 1,000 guest rooms and 75,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space. The 500-room Silver Star Hotel & Casino features five meeting rooms and a 20,000-square-foot ballroom with a capacity of 2,100 guests for receptions and theater style. Silver Star’s traditional buffet is currently being replaced with more upscale, concept-driven dining; its other dining options, including Phillip M’s and Stats Sports Bar & Grill, remain open. The 600-room Golden Moon Hotel & Casino offers flexible space, with a capacity of 300 guests in its largest venue. Dancing Rabbit Inn offers a more secluded environment with a dedicated space configured for 108-person theater-style presentations. Resort amenities include two championship golf courses and the 23-acre Geyser Falls Water Theme Park.
Groups might also want to plan itineraries around the Annual Choctaw Indian Fair, which takes place every July on the tribe’s nearby ancestral homelands. In Philadelphia (Miss.), visitors can see the historic town square and the Neshoba County marker of the Mississippi Freedom Trail.
