ATLANTA—Cindy Moss, citywide sales executive for Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), will retire at the end of June 2026 after a 26-year career with the organization.
Moss spent more than two decades driving large-scale group business to Atlanta, focusing on the corporate market and California-based associations as part of the bureau’s trade show sales team. In her role, she specialized in securing high-impact conventions requiring 1,000 or more peak-night hotel rooms, helping position Atlanta as a leading destination for major meetings and events.
“Cindy has played a key role in our sales success for nearly three decades,” says Charlene Lopez, executive vice president and chief sales officer for ACVB. “Her ability to secure multi-year conventions for major associations and corporations has left a lasting mark on our city. We are incredibly grateful for her dedication and the expertise she brought to our team every day.”
Over the course of her ACVB tenure, Moss generated thousands of leads and secured millions of room nights, contributing significant economic impact to Atlanta’s hospitality and tourism sector.
Her hospitality career spans 40 years. A graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, Moss began her career on the operations side of the industry, working in front office management before transitioning into sales. She later served as director of sales and marketing, overseeing two downtown Atlanta hotels prior to joining ACVB.
