VERO BEACH, Fla.—Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Vero Beach is getting a $3 million upgrade. Developed by Keith Kite and built by Proctor Construction in 2015, the hotel is part of Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
According to Kite, as reported by VeroNews.com, the money spent on the project will be used to enhance the hotel’s appearance, in accordance with Hilton’s corporate mandated renovations. The hotel is upgrading its paint, carpeting, wall coverings, artwork, chairs, mattresses, lamps, and fixtures. In addition, all rooms will receive upgraded TVs, from 42-inch to 55-inch TVs, and will be outfitted with digital locks so guests can check in and access their rooms via cell phone.
Hilton Hotels & Resorts will fund $2 million for the interior renovations, with Kite opting for an additional $1 million in exterior renovations and LED lighting.
The hotel features 90 guest rooms in two wings; only one wing of guest rooms is open while the other wing’s guest rooms are being renovated. Renovation of all guest rooms is expected to be completed in October. The exterior renovation is estimated for completion in November or December, depending on weather issues.
