Hospitality job fairs abound during National Travel and Tourism Week

With more people vaccinated and travel rebounding, many job fairs are scheduled across the South as the hospitality and tourism industries look to meet the demand.

New Orleans & Company is hosting a job fair, featuring the opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccine from LCMC Health, on Wednesday, May 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. at the Great Hall of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Big on Little Rock is hosting a hospitality job fair Tuesday, May 4 at the Statehouse Convention Center.

The Nashville Tourism Industry Job Fair takes place over two days at two locations: Tuesday, May 11, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gaylord Opryland Resort Event Center, and Wednesday, May 12, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  at Music City Center.

A two-day hotel and restaurant industry job fair is being held in San Antonio on May 4 and May 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. The Tuesday event is virtual, while the Wednesday event will open in-person.

Also in Texas, Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is hosting a job fair Tuesday, May 4 dedicated to providing opportunities to join Pearland’s hotel and restaurant teams. The outdoor fair, held in partnership with the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and the Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Pearland Town Center Pavilion.

Also, in recognition of National Travel and Tourism Week, Memphis Tourism is holding a job fair at the Renasant Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4.
