It’s Winter-Spring Meeting Planning Season (Hint: Florida)

With the approach of the Fall season, it’s time for final planning of those Winter and Spring meetings and conferences. Which means a look at all those popular event venues of the Sunshine State.

Florida Meeting LocationsTeeming with natural beauty and outdoor adventure, Florida has almost 1,200 miles of coastline from Pensacola to the Florida Keys, and 11,000 miles of rivers and other water masses including the Everglades. World class ocean spa retreats allow for pampering after activities such as kayaking in mango grove swamps, paddle boarding in crystal clear waters, and zip lining through the forest tops. The state also boasts some of the world’s greatest amusement attractions with Disney World and Universal Studios providing diverse and exhilarating team-building experiences and venues.

Visitors interested in historic sites will have their fill as Florida is home to the oldest city in the United States, St. Augustine, and is well known for providing historic experiences such as the walking tour at the Historic Pensacola Village. Groups can enjoy art at the Dali Lama Museum in St. Petersburg and music at the infamous Green Parrot Bar in Key West.

Take Flight in Pensacola at the National Naval Aviation Museum The National Naval Aviation Museum, the world’s largest of its kind, offers groups a glimpse of more than 150 restored aircraft. Two 3D flight simulators allow guests the experience of air-to-air combat and stunt flying. The Motion-Based Simulator accommodates up to 15 passengers and is fully enclosed for a one-of-a- kind experience for groups. As home to the United States Navy’s Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron, the museum allows visitors to feel like they are flying with the Blue Angels in the Blue Angels X4D Theater. Outside, groups can watch the Blue Angel flight practices with amazing action packed stunts and even get autographs.

RainbowFloat Down The Springs With Manatees
Ocala/Marion County is home to Silver Springs State Park, a breathtaking crystal clear river with three entrances including a camping entrance and a horse trail entrance. Guided horse trail rides in a wetland habitat and glass bottom boat tours provide groups scenic adventures in this natural attraction where wildlife abounds with sightings of herons, otters and even manatees. Equally spectacular for its clear spring waters and natural abundance is nearby Rainbow Springs State Park, just outside Dunnellon, Florida.
