ATLANTA, Ga.Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) has announced the hiring of Jason Lusk as vice president of sales.

Lusk is responsible for leading ACVB’s sales initiatives through events, lead generation, and customer engagement to increase hotel room night bookings across the city.

“Jason’s extensive experience in the hospitality industry, combined with his leadership skills, will make him an invaluable asset to our destination,” says Charlene Lopez, executive vice president and chief sales officer of ACVB. “Jason has a stellar reputation in the industry, and we are excited to see what he will accomplish in this role.”

Lusk has worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 30 years, most recently with Visit Denver as associate vice president of convention sales and director of sales. Before his time with Visit Denver, Lusk held positions as sales manager and D.C. regional sales manager with Visit Baltimore.

Volunteering his time within the industry, Lusk is affiliated with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). Lusk is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
