DALLAS, Texas – W Dallas – Victory welcomes Julia Turcotte as the hotel’s newly appointed general manager. Turcotte will join the hotel’s leadership team after previously serving as director of operations at Dallas Renaissance at Plano Legacy West.
Turcotte brings a great deal of experience to the 252-room hotel, which opened in 2006. With over 30 years of hospitality experience, she successfully led her team at her last property through the COVID-19 pandemic, sustaining and exceeding historical performance.
Beginning her career at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter hotel, Turcotte has led teams in sales, event management, and hotel operations across multiple brands. She has been recognized throughout her career, participating in the Leadership Excellence Program, the Emerging Leader Program, Shambaugh’s Women in Leadership and Learning, and Marriott’s Executive Pathway Program.
“I look forward to joining the W Dallas – Victory team,” Turcotte says. “The hotel has an impressive team in place that is dedicated to delivering a gold standard of service to their guests. The W brand is dynamic and playful and a perfect parallel to the culture of Dallas—especially to Victory Park, where professional teams Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars are based.”
Beyond the world of hospitality, Turcotte has served on the board of directors for the Paseo del Rio Association and looks forward to immersing herself in the Dallas business community and the Victory Park neighborhood.
The hotel opened two outlets in the fall of 2021: Villa Azur Dallas, a restaurant and lounge concept from Miami, Fla., with a French Riviera style and Mediterranean cuisine, and AWAY Spa on the hotel’s 16th floor offering locals, residents, and guests, and place to detoxify and indulge in self-care in a location with beautiful views of downtown Dallas and Victory Park.
W Dallas – Victory features 220 guest rooms plus 32 suites, 15,524 total square feet of meeting space, 24/7 gym at FIT, panoramic infinity pool with city views at the WET deck, and AWAY Spa Dallas.
