Part of the New Orleans metropolitan area, Jefferson Parish offers affordability, easy airport access, and more than 8,200 guest rooms. Kenner, the largest incorporated city in the parish, is an important gateway and regional hub for meetings.
“Planners love Kenner’s venues and hotels, along with our connectivity to Interstate 10, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), and downtown New Orleans,” says Carolyn Barrett, executive director of Visit Kenner.
Kenner is home to the parish’s largest event venue, Pontchartrain Convention & Civic Center, which boasts 72,000 square feet of flexible space across 10 rooms. The venue’s largest space, a 34,560-square-foot combined exhibit hall, seats up to 3,720 guests theater style, 1,780 banquet style, and 1,500 classroom style.
The 245-room DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New Orleans Airport offers 13,970 square feet of event space across 10 rooms; its largest space can accommodate 450 for receptions or 400 theater style. The 317-room Hilton New Orleans Airport features more than 17,400 square feet of space, with a capacity of 700 people for receptions or theater style. The 100-room Wyndham New Orleans Airport & Conference Center offers 12,000 square feet of event space, while the 95-room Best Western Kenner has meeting space for small groups of fewer than 60 people.
Across the Mississippi River in Westwego, the John A. Alario Sr. Event Center features three exhibition halls, accommodating nearly 3,000 people theater style in its largest space.
Planners can schedule corporate outings at Kenner’s Coconut Beach Volleyball complex, which has more than 20 sand volleyball courts. In Lafitte, Airboat Adventures leads groups on tours of majestic Louisiana swamps.
