About a half-hour west of Orlando, Lake County boasts 1,000 lakes. This county has 14 communities, including Mount Dora and Tavares, nature preserves, state parks, and year-round celebrations and festivals.
Meeting facilities include the 1920s-era Howey Mansion, which can host 1,000-person receptions and galas; Bella Collina, a championship golf facility with two- and three-bedroom suites and a 7,500-square-foot clubhouse; and Mission Inn Golf & Tennis Resort, which has 30,000 square feet of function space, including outdoor venues and a lakeside pavilion. Lakeside Inn of Mount Dora has 90 guest rooms and 5,000 square feet of indoor event space with additional outdoor venues. The 1,200-seat Clermont Center for the Arts also has a smaller 450-seat black box theater.
