Joe Collier, president and founder of Mainsail Lodging & Development, was on hand to accept the awards at Marriott International’s recent Full-Service Owners Conference (MINA) held Nov. 1-2 in Orlando, Fla. Earning recognition in four of six categories, Mainsail was named a finalist for the Opening of the Year Award for Luminary Hotel & Co. in Fort Myers, Fla., and for the J.W. Marriott, Jr. Guest Experience Award.
“It’s a genuine honor to be recognized by the world’s leading hotel company again this year–an honor that speaks volumes about the level of commitment and dedication the entire Mainsail team brings to their individual roles each and every day,” said Collier. “We’re only able to achieve these results as a company because of our hard-working staff members, who enable us to stay sharp and consistently drive our vision.”
Marriott’s annual two-day conference brings together full-service owners, franchisees, and management companies from across the country for the member meeting, keynote speakers, senior leadership sessions, networking, and the award ceremony. The Development Partner of the Year Award recognizes those partners who develop Marriott brands in new locations. The Loyalty Luminary Award recognizes hotels and organizations which have not only achieved high guest satisfaction scores, but also excel in taking care of Marriott Bonvoy members.
Mainsail Lodging & Development operates six full-service Marriott Autograph Collection properties, including the Epicurean Hotel in Tampa, Fla., along with the recently opened Epicurean Hotel in Atlanta, Ga; Waterline Villas & Marina on Anna Maria Island, Fla.; the Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, Fla.; and the riverfront Luminary Hotel & Co. in downtown Fort Myers, Fla.
Mainsail’s portfolio also includes two Tribute Portfolio by Marriot properties: The Karol Hotel in Clearwater/St. Pete, Fla., and Hotel Forty Five, opening January 2022 in Macon, Ga.
