Monroe Civic Center includes a convention center with six large meeting rooms (350 capacity), a flexible 7,200-seat arena, and a conference hall featuring 14,000 square feet of event space. Across the river, West Monroe Convention Center has 13,000 square feet of exhibit space.
The West Monroe Sports & Events venue features 70,000 square feet of uninterrupted space, seating 2,500 in its largest configuration. This venue is adjacent to several hotels, including the 103-room Residence Inn by Marriott West Monroe and the 92-room Home2 Suites by Hilton West Monroe.
The region offers 2,500 accommodations. The 69-room Hotel Monroe Tapestry Collection by Hilton, which opened last year, includes the Heirloom restaurant and rooftop Star Bar, along with more than 7,400 square feet of space; its largest space is the 4,800-square-foot Opera House Ballroom, featuring 20-foot-high ceilings and Ouachita River views.
Unique venues include downtown’s The Loui, a corporate venue with a capacity of 300 guests for cocktail mixers or 180 seated.
Monroe-West Monroe will be adding more than 300 sleeping rooms over the next 15 months, with two hotels already under construction.
For teambuilding, groups can book The Sheaux live game show studio or explore Ouachita Paddling Trails. The 6,032-square-foot Art Alley-Gator mural is a popular local attraction. “Black Bayou National Wildlife Refuge gives visitors an up-close bayou experience with cypress trees and the occasional alligator sighting,” adds Alana Cooper, president and CEO of Discover Monroe-West Monroe. “We also have an incredible collection of museums, including the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum and The Biedenharn Garden and Coke Museum, which pays homage to Joseph Biedenharn, the first bottler of Coca-Cola in the United States.”
