El Paso’s The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park to Reopen Early in 2020

EL PASO, Tex. — One of Conrad Hilton’s first hotels is set to reopen in early 2020 following a $78-million renovation. Restorations at The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park are nearly complete and about 7,600 square feet of meeting space will be available soon.

Perched on the Plaza’s 17th floor is the La Perla Rooftop Bar, with sweeping views of the surrounding city, Rocky Mountains and the Mexico border. Formerly part of the penthouse suite, La Perla is the highest outdoor viewpoint in El Paso.

The 130-room boutique hotel will now have an adjacent 541-car parking garage, and the simple white Plaza letter signs that have been atop the hotel’s roof tower for years have been refurbished.

The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park is down the street from the Judson F. Williams Convention Center and is owned by El Paso billionaire Paul Foster.
