SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – Through today’s changing landscape for meetings and events, Sarasota County continues to offer many appealing options for groups in the current environment.

The area offers beautiful beaches including the top-ranked beach in the U.S. by TripAdvisor, a vibrant arts and culture scene, and a selection of world-class accommodations providing guests with the best in new cleaning protocols, service, and care. Additionally, the destination continues to renovate and add new offerings that can help planners today and as they plan for the future.

Renovations at Resort at Longboat Key Club

Renovations will soon be complete at The Resort at Longboat Key Club, including all guestrooms and suites as well as various resort features, including two new recently opened dining options. The resort’s new fine dining restaurant, Latitudes, features locally harvested seafood and ingredients, and includes a private dining room accommodating up to 12 people. For casual poolside dining and drinks, the resort has introduced Banyan Poolside, featuring a tropical vibe and laid-back atmosphere perfect for a sunset cocktail.

The property offers 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space and 226 distinctive guestrooms and suites.

Venue with Customized Private Dining: The Devyn

One of Sarasota’s premier event venues, The Devyn prides itself on customizable experiences and state of the art infrastructure, offering plug and play technology.

The Devyn recently launched on-site and offsite catering, as new general manager Melissa Hensley was instrumental in creating new menus and packages, including the all-inclusive ‘Simple Sands’ package that helps ensure planners make their event a success.

Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary

Big Cat Habitat & Gulf Coast Sanctuary now offers their unique program Yoga with Tigers as a custom private experience for corporate and group events. The class, which caters to all fitness levels, offers a memorable and relaxing way to bond, as participants execute yoga positions surrounded by the sounds of big cats and more than 150 other animals (all of whom are safely inside their enclosures).

With 37 meetings hotels, 40 special indoor and outdoor event venues, and 110,000 square feet of meeting space, Sarasota is an ideal destination for small groups.

The Hyatt Regency offers the most guestrooms, with 294, while the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota offers the largest meeting space at 26,000 square feet. Small groups may opt for the area’s smallest meetings hotel and one of its newest, the Sarasota Modern Hotel with 89 guestrooms and 1,200 square feet of meeting space.
