Fairfax County, Va., really is where all the lines intersect for meeting planners, says Dean Miller, national sales manager for Visit Fairfax, the county’s award-winning destination marketing organization. “With all the National Capital area at our doorstep, access via two major airports (IAD and DCA), road, rail, and the Washington Metrorail system, as well as our incredible collection of three- and four-star meeting hotels, Fairfax County checks off all three boxes on every planner’s must-have checklist: desirability, accessibility, and affordability.”

Things just keep getting better and better, Miller adds. “We now have Metrorail service running from Tysons, Reston, and Herndon to Dulles Airport, making getting around even easier than ever. We are bringing all sorts of new attractions online.”

The Perch, an urban park located 11 stories above ground in Tysons, features a biergarten, an amphitheater, mini golf, food trucks, and much more. In the fall of 2025, Fairfax County will welcome the new J.W. Marriott Reston, featuring meeting and ballroom space, located within walking distance of a Metrorail stop.
