ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is offering a selection of health protocol options, including COVID-19 testing, for event professionals planning group meetings.
These optional health protocols include:
– Self-administered COVID-19 tests taken by the guest prior to travel
– COVID-19 testing administered by a third-party testing provider onsite at the hotel
– Daily and/or pre-arrival health screening questions via a dedicated mobile app
– Daily temperature checks to enter the event area
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort announced its Commitment to Clean in early 2020. The new health options will supplement existing protocols and features already in place, including guest and employee face covering requirements, physical distancing policies, reduced seating capacities for meetings, frequent cleaning of high-touch areas, hand sanitizing stations throughout the hotel, mobile technology, and hybrid meeting options.
“We recognize that meeting planners need creative solutions in today’s meeting and events environment,” said Jim Curtis, director of sales and marketing for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. “This is one way we hope to help them facilitate the future of face-to-face meetings.”
The hotel is also offering the protocols as part of a buyout or a controlled environment event. In summer 2020, the resort successfully served as host accommodations for Major League Soccer’s MLS is Back Tournament for six weeks, becoming one of the first professional sports “bubbles.”
