Omni Homestead appoints Jacco van Teeffelen as managing director

HOT SPRINGS, Va.—The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa has appointed Jacco van Teeffelen as managing director, naming the veteran luxury hospitality executive to oversee operations at the historic Virginia resort.

Van Teeffelen has more than 15 years of leadership experience with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, having served in management positions at several luxury properties worldwide. He also held leadership positions at Fairmont Winnipeg, Fairmont San Francisco, Fairmont Grand Del Mar, and The Savoy Hotel London, building a reputation for operational excellence, strategic growth, and guest experience.

A graduate of the Hotel Management School Maastricht in the Netherlands, van Teeffelen earned a Bachelor of Arts in hotel management. He most recently served as general manager of Fairmont Mayakoba in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

In his new role, van Teeffelen will oversee all aspects of operations at The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa, guiding the property’s continued evolution while preserving the traditions that have defined the resort for more than 260 years. His focus will include strengthening the property’s position as a premier destination resort while supporting continued growth in wellness programming, multigenerational travel, outdoor recreation, golf, and culinary experiences.

Spanning 2,300 acres within the Allegheny Mountains of southwestern Virginia, The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa has been welcoming guests since 1766. It offers 483 guest rooms and suites, 76,000 square feet of meeting space, an array of fine and casual dining choices, a luxurious spa, two championship golf courses, and a variety of recreational activities.
