On Florida’s northeast coast, Amelia Island surprises and delights planners because it delivers far more than expected from a destination of its size, with a safe and walkable historic downtown and uncrowded beaches, says Paul Beirnes, vice president of Amelia Island CVB. “Our intimate scale removes the stress and logistical challenges of larger markets while still offering world-class resorts, distinctive venues, and a culinary scene that consistently exceeds expectations. Amelia Island is not just an alternative; it is a destination that keeps planners coming back.”
Set on 13 miles of Atlantic shoreline, The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island has 446 guest rooms and 113,836 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space to accommodate groups of up to 1,500 people. The Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa has more than 400 oceanfront guest rooms and suites, plus 80,000 square feet of meeting space across 30 meeting rooms and additional outdoor venues. The resort is expected to complete a full renovation of all guest rooms and meeting spaces this spring, following last year’s full renovation of the pool area, lobby, and spa. In addition to championship golf, the resort also features a 10-hole short course. The dual-branded Courtyard by Marriott Amelia Island and SpringHill Suites by Marriott Amelia Island offers a total of 239 guest rooms and more than 7,500 square feet of event space.
New in 2025, The Preserve at The Amelia Island River Club has more than 10,000 square feet of multipurpose event space. The Pavilion in Fernandina Beach offers covered outdoor space to accommodate 120 guests, with additional open-air space.
