
HOCHATOWN, Okla. – Choctaw Landing, a 100-room resort and casino located in Hochatown, Okla., is scheduled to open in spring 2024.
According to a news release, the resort will focus on the rich Choctaw culture and reflect the importance of nature and the natural beauty of southeastern Oklahoma.
“Choctaw Landing is an all-in-one exclusive resort destination, and the perfect place to unwind,” says Amy Davis, Choctaw Landing general manager. “We are located just an hour north of the Oklahoma and Texas border and are excited to open this new entertainment destination for Oklahomans and our friends and neighbors in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana.”
The resort will include:
- 100 guest rooms with 15 suites
- Three conference rooms and more than 4,300 square feet of meeting space
- One hotel restaurant and three outdoor dining/bar options
- Resort fitness center
- Pool area with nine cabanas, two hot tubs, and three fire pits
- Outdoor amphitheater with seating for 125
- Casino with 600 slot machines and eight table games including roulette, blackjack, and poker
- Mercantile with groceries, a deli, a Starbucks, and a 24-pump fuel station
An interactive circular steel sculpture at the entrance of Choctaw Landing will showcase Choctaw Social Dancers. The sculpture, designed by Choctaw artist Gene Smith, will feature an opening for guests to “join the dance,” interact with the dancers, and delve into the rich history woven into each character around the circle. The resort will also feature original artwork designed by multiple Choctaw artists.
The opening of the $238 million Choctaw Landing resort will create more than 400 jobs in southeast Oklahoma and will have an estimated $95 million economic impact on the region.
