St. Petersburg’s 385-room Vinoy Resort & Golf Club features 83,115 square feet of event space—including 22 event rooms and 24 breakout rooms—and accommodates a capacity of 1,000. Palm Harbor’s 300-room Innisbrook Golf Resort has 80,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, with two 8,200-square-foot ballrooms for receptions of 800 and classroom configurations for up to 600. The resort also features championship golf courses on 900 acres.
Thirty minutes from Tampa International Airport, the Island Grand, a TradeWinds Beach Resort, sits on 40 acres along St. Pete Beach and features 734 guest rooms and more than 70,000 square feet of function space. The resort’s largest space, the Pavilion, spans 10,584 square feet and accommodates 1,200 guests and 70 exhibit booths. The Island Grand also boasts 20,000 square feet of outdoor event space.
The 418-room Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa contains 43,425 square feet of meeting space, including 17 meeting rooms. Sheraton Sand Key Resort offers 390 guest rooms and 24,000 square feet of indoor meeting rooms, including two ballrooms and seven breakout rooms; in addition, the resort also features 25,000-plus square feet of outdoor tented beach space.
The springs that flow from the ground in Safety Harbor—a charming community north of St. Petersburg on Old Tampa Bay—were once thought to be Hernando de Soto’s famous Fountain of Youth. The springs site is now occupied by the 172-room Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. Opened in 1925 and now a historic landmark, the resort has an underground floor at the spring’s location, where spa services are available. The resort also features 30,000 square feet of event space for up to 1,000 guests.
Other unique venues with event space include the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which has 24,700 square feet of event space, and St. Petersburg’s Museum of Fine Arts.
