LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Elon Musk’s The Boring Company (TBC) has begun work on an underground “people mover” for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

The Las Vegas Convention Center is one of the largest convention sites in the world with exhibit space spread across its 200-acre campus.

The innovative underground transportation system will allow convention attendees to be whisked across the LVCC’s vast campus in just over a minute, using all-electric Tesla vehicles.

When completed in January 2021, the $52.5-million project will include three passenger stations and be comprised of two vehicular tunnels, each with an expected total length of one mile.

The system will have the potential to expand and link key visitor attractions throughout Las Vegas.

This is the first commercial endeavor for TBC and one more first for Las Vegas.
