THE WOODLANDS, Texas — The Woodlands Resort is offering a new slate of experiential activities for meeting and event attendees, including yoga while surrounded by goats.

Whether the intended purpose of the curated break is building team comradery or promoting health and wellness, the destination has something for nearly every taste.

According to director of marketing Kelly McCourt, “With the return of in-person meetings and events, we wanted to welcome back clients and planners with experiences that would give groups the opportunity to do something fun and unique together. This complements a property that already has much to offer activity and amenity-wise, from fantastic food and beverage, hiking, biking, and kayaking to an expansive tennis center, two golf courses, and incredible pool complex with lazy river.”

Groups focused on putting aside time for health and wellness now have the option of goat yoga. The four-legged therapeutics are ready to nudge participants toward relaxation during a 45-minute ashtanga practice for beginners. For a quieter and more traditional meditative choice, standard yoga is also showcased along the resort’s lakefront. Each variety requires a 15-person minimum, and an onsite, indoor backup location is available in in the event of inclement weather.

“It was great for our group to move their bodies. We sat in a conference room all day, so people appreciated getting a workout in, said Hollyn Crubaugh, team effectiveness manager for Nico Corporation. “We had a lot of people that didn’t know each other or hadn’t been together in person, so goat yoga was a fun way to get to become better acquainted with one another.”

Those looking to tap into some friendly group rivalries can join in a game of pickleball. Groups will start with pre-play instruction from a certified pickleball instructor and then hit one of the resort’s dozen indoor or outdoor courts. For competition without the physical component, groups can bring out their inner chef during a variety of packaged culinary challenges, ranging from team gourmet pizza building to cocktail challenge.

And the options don’t just stop at the resort, as The Woodlands is in close proximity to a variety of attractions and the relationships it has with nearby partners including Bowlero, Top Golf, iFly, and Texas TreeVentures to name a few.
