With more than 5,000 guest rooms and venues for groups of 20 to 10,000, Macon supports both association meetings and large public events. The Edgar H. Wilson Convention Centre has 82,000 square feet of space, including a 30,800-square-foot exhibit hall, and is connected to the 220-room Macon Marriott City Center. Other facilities include the Macon Coliseum, with 49,006 square feet and a 9,000-seat arena; Macon City Auditorium, with an 18,108-square-foot floor and 2,504 theater seats; Anderson Conference Center, with 16,960 square feet and a reception capacity of 1,600; and the 150,000-square-foot Rhythm & Rally Sports and Events, which houses 32 pickleball courts. The Atrium Health Amphitheater, opened in 2024, accommodates up to 10,000. A new Macon Arena is planned for 2028; it will feature approximately 250,000 square feet, approximately 10,200 seats, and an adjacent 30,000-square-foot flex hall.

Macon’s offsite appeal is rooted in music, architecture, and history. “Meetings in Macon have more soul,” says Gary Wheat, president and CEO of Visit Macon. “Attendees can step out of the ballroom and into a city whose stories span thousands of years, from Ocmulgee Mounds to the music that helped shape American culture.”
